The United States Coast Guard Rockaway has entered Charleston harbor and
is making its way to Patriots Point, SC for the Fifth Rockaway Reunion which
will be held at, the Mt. Pleasant Holiday Inn - Patriot's Point, 250 Johnnie Dodds
Blvd, Hwy 17, Mt. Pleasant, SC 29464.
The old Rock will tie up at Patriots Point where she will be reunited with her
crew. All hands attending the reunion will be granted shore leave to enjoy the
weekend of relaxation and camaraderie. Shipmates will be welcomed Friday
evening at our hospitality suite located on the second floor in the Seabrook Room.
The hours for the Hospitality suite are from 2:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Saturday will
be the Business Meeting and Ladies Social. Followed by either a tour at Patriots
point or free time to enjoy shore leave at your own pace. Reunion Book Portraits
Photos will be taken prior to our Saturday night Banquet. When you arrive, please
pick up your welcome package at the registration table. The package will contain
your meal tickets, name tags, agenda, roster, shirts & caps, etc.
The Hotel Rates on Wednesday and Thursday for early arrivals are $99.00.
Friday and Saturday are: $129.00 and for Sunday and Monday they drop back to
$99.00 for stay-overs. You must call the Hotel and make your own
reservations. Their number is 1-843-884-6000 Note: The hotel will honor the
discounted group rates until March 18th. Please tell the Hotel you are with the
USCGC Rockaway Reunion for these preferred rates. We currently have 50
rooms set aside and they are filling up fast. We don’t have much time left so
please make your room reservations as soon as you can.
